Do you ever feel that you need to unzip your skin and allow your soul to flood out and blanket the earth with love and kindness?
The other day I was driving down the road and I was physically nauseous, not in a bad way. I was so overwhelmed with love and peace I just wanted everyone to feel what I felt. My heart was racing and I began to feel tears whelm up. I had this vision of unzipping my body and covering everyone I saw with so much love that they physically and mentally could not hurt another being.
I wanted people to know that they do not need to hate on each other, they do not need to put such a strong division up just because they think different. WE ARE DIFFERENT! Embracing that and learning from each other would be so cool.
Do you remember hearing stories from your grandparents on how their life was? Do you remember learning from their stories? How about adopting some of their behaviors because they where your superheroes when you were growing up? You learned from them, and you loved it. Why does that stop? Why do we think we are done learning when we physically grow up?
What would your life look like if you stopped for a moment when you did not understand someone and asked, “Tell me more, I want to see where you stand” instead of jumping into your own perception of what you think you heard in that snapshot of a moment. Take the time to look at them through loving eyes instead of judgmental. This does not mean you will agree, and nor should you if it does not feel right, however it will expand your mind into how another thinks and feels, and that, is beautiful.
We are all different, learn from our differences and accept them as theirs. No one is telling you to own them as your own. Just respect them.
